For no fault of their own, FORREST GUMP (aka Trip) and his companion Darlin were recently returned/surrendered to ARF because their owner could no longer care for them. Initially, FORREST GUMP was a little uncertain about his new temporary home at the ARFanage. Within a short period of time, FORREST GUMP has opened up and is thoroughly enjoying all the attention from his new caretakers. He is very friendly and approaches happily with tail wagging and wants to sit right next to you. He loves to be petted, and will happily ?shake? any time you ask him to ? especially if a treat is involved! FORREST GUMP is generally a laid back dog and is content just to ?hang out? in the air conditioning or outside when the weather is good. FORREST GUMP loves cats, and he gets along well with most other dogs. Most of all, he is glad to have his best friend Darlin (also liste on Petfinder) to keep him company. FORREST GUMP is great around children and would make a very lovable and grateful member of your family. TRIP is a male German Shepherd Dog / Chow Chow mix and is approximately 6.5 years old (Aug. xxxx). He is a large dog and weighs about 75 pounds. TRIP is listed as special needs because he only has three legs. TRIP is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped.
