I managed to push the gate open and search for food. I was absolutely emaciated and so starved I was near death. I was anemic from starvation and parasites. I had to have a blood transfusion and serious medical care at a vet for almost a week. It was a slow process, but with good medicine and food, I have been able to gain 12#. I am very affectionate to people I know. I am of strangers. I would be a great watch dog. I love other dogs even small ones. Part II I was adopted by a nice family. They had a boston terrier and a 14 year old daughter. I lived outside to protect my home and because I tried to eat their inside cats. They had to return me after 2 years because the rental did not allow large dogs . The adopters informed the mspca of this at the time of the adoption. I am very smart and love to greet you. I will steal food from you. I really only bark at strangers. 4years old/heartworm neg//80# ADOPTION FEE: 85 ABOUT OUR PETS: All of our pets available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, tested for heartworms, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and are on flea & heartworm preventative medication. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: To give each dog the best possible home we require a completed Adoption Application. Screening and approval by our Adoption Coordinators and a home visit may be required to make sure this pet fits into your home and the home fits our pet.
